Waiting at reception , had to pay to get in room before 4 even though it was ready

The hotel was easy to find, close to the cathedral and friendly helpful staff.
Parking was not as convenient as we had hoped. Also would have been nice to have two luggage racks to hold our luggage.

Nicely located near the main square this hotel seems recently renovated and popular with tourists.
No secure parking, although street parking worked okay for us.

Excellent location in the centre of Chartres . The young man in reception who added heating and a blanket to our cold room was very helpful
Our room was cold, really cold. The staff added a heater and blanket but not what I except from a Mercure.
I paid to have a room with a view of the cathedral: it had not that view!
The breakfast was ok but again not up to standard.
As I put the card in the checkout box the woman at the desk didn’t acknowledge me at all which was shocking! I repeat this is not what I expect from my favourite hotel chain. Used a great deal each year!
