My scores are a little extreme on account of the fact I was unexpectedly upgraded at check-in from the twin room that I had booked to a massive two bedroom suite with dining area, kitchenette and large lounge area. Maybe they had heard that my friend can't stand my snoring so put a very large space between us. That aside, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The booking did have lounge access which afforded me free food and drink all day from the Lounge buffet (including breakfast). The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. All the usual room toiletries etc were supplied. It is fairly well connected with a couple of Sky train stations within a short walk and a boat taxi station also.
No USB ports on the sockets.
The hotel is quite old but it could benefit from some basic modernisation.
Not strictly speaking part of the hotel I don't think, but £30 (minimum) cocktails at the SkyBar is really taking the XXXX. The Hangover 3 was over 13 years ago and they are still trying to milk if with a hangover 'named' cocktail at about £200.

A Truly Wonderful Stay at lebua Bangkok
Our stay at lebua Bangkok was absolutely wonderful. We were visiting Bangkok with my son, and this was our second stay at the hotel — the first was many years ago, when he was still much younger. Coming back after all these years was such a special experience, and I was delighted to see that the hotel is still in such beautiful shape.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt exceptional. The staff were warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. Our suite was absolutely beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had breathtaking views of Bangkok. It truly felt like a home away from home, only with a little more luxury!
One of the details that touched me most was the evening turndown service. Every night, a member of the floor team would come by with chocolates and a little note with the weather forecast for the following day. Such a simple gesture, but incredibly thoughtful and personal. It made us feel cared for and looked after in a way that you don't always experience in hotels.
Our room was kept impeccably clean throughout our stay, and the complimentary soft drinks in the fridge were replenished every day — another lovely touch that made our stay even more comfortable.
We also really enjoyed breakfast. There was a wonderful variety, and I appreciated that there was something different to discover each day rather than the experience feeling repetitive. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm, elegant, and sophisticated without ever feeling cold or impersonal.
Most of all, I loved the feeling of being there. There is something very special about returning to a place years later with your child, seeing how much they have grown, and creating new memories together in the same beautiful setting.
I truly loved every single minute of our stay. lebua gave us not just a beautiful room and spectacular views, but an experience filled with warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality.
