The breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh veggies in the salad and the croissants. The room design was simple and elegant and the ocean view was peaceful and calming.
The coffee could have been better. And any buffet featuring delicious breads also needs cheese! Cheese would have been perfect with the wine bar.

The view from room was amazing. All rooms have ocean views. It is lovely and serene. The hotel is older and it does show but it is nice to get away from the crowds. We had a rental car so was no problem traveling to the sites in Hakone. Without a car it may be more challenging to get around. We had an amazing time with grandma, mother, teen daughter and elementary aged child all tooting around in a rental car around Hakone.
It was peaceful so that was a great plus. We didn’t really use much of the other facilities.

The facility is clean and good onsen.
They did not allow upgrade of the room that I reserved responding to Book.com offered.
As far as I read BOOK.com reservation, breakfast was included but I needed to pay extra.
