Affordable accommodation in a fantastic location!

Fantastic location - view to die for and lots of eateries to choose from just downstairs. The gym was also well equipped and quiet. The pool looked ok too. Included parking was super convenient and the desk staff were kind enough to let us park there ahead of our check-in time.

Some areas looked a little tired and our apartment was a little musty - although this was addressed by running the a/c.

All in all it was lovely.

That when my husband went down to say I was extremely sick and couldn’t move out of bed, they were very happy to charge $1000 for a night when we just paid $671 for two nights. I didn’t like the idea of big hotel owners ripping people off when they were so sick! In the end they said they did a favour and dropped the price to $500 for a night.

ocean view location to restaurants

poor condition of apartment, rust around entry door very obvious and uninviting, set the tone for the rest of the unit Low quality and worn furnishings no place to hang clothing in the bathroom ensuite shower over bath not accessible for people to get in and out of the tub to take a shower etc…. cannot understand why Mantra would allow their properties to get in this state

Our stay was pleasant we made the most of our time celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Location is excellent, view was poor as we requested a high level room on booking & was told this was achievable then to be given a level 4 room with poor views was extremely disappointing.

The fact that we requested a high level room when booking & was told this was achievable but on arrival be given a level 4 room very disappointing considering this was our 30th wedding anniversary, just very disappointed in the room we were given for our special occasion.

Location - perfect View - perfect Receptionist - extremely helpful Pool & spa - very good

Cleanliness under the beds Oven could use a good clean

The view was amazing

The room wasn't clean. There was hair in the spa bath. The sheet had stains on it. The aircon was hard to get working. The place in itself was really run down.

if Mantra spent some money updating this hotel it would be great. some landscaping around the pool would be an extra ben

Thw hotel staff were excellent. Great location. Good size apartment.

Needs a spruce up, pool is getting old, showers need replacing, dishwasher didn’t work very well. It just needs updating and freshening up in general.

Not having holidays for 3 years the accomodation was disappointing. The weather was great!

the location was perfect with ocean views

we requested units on the same floor which wasn’t available until 2 nights into our stay. one bedroom had a water leak and was not able to be used for 4 nights due to the terrible smell. we also had the carpet dryer going throughout the day/night which was extremely noisy and had to leave our room unsecured so the smell could dissipate! We moved rooms again to escape the smell and noisy carpet dryer. The pool was also in need of repair and don’t think the barbecue had been used for some time.

Extremely disappointing, well below the standard that was depicted in the photographs online.

The apartment we were given was in a shocking state of disrepair and was dirty, there were holes in the walls which had not been repaired and there was tape holding the shower frame in place. The foyers outside the rooms were also very shabby and in a poor state of repair and cleanliness

Pleasant but somewhat disappointing.

Location was perfect. The unit was a little shabby. Dirty linen and appeared no one had used the unit for a while. Dead insect in bed linen. Some dishes were not clean.

Great location with amazing views - missing some home comforts

Outstanding location and view. Room had everything we required and reception was more than happy to help with anything we needed.

The beds and lounge were really uncomfortable. Need a larger lounge to seat a family of 4 comfortably.

Wonderful memories of a gret holiday at one of the most beautiful locations in Australia.

Ocean view with a balcony to sit/lounge and soak up the view. Close proximity to beach, restaurants and shops.

Ants were also enjoying the vacation, but we’re manageable during our stay. Staff addressed situation immediately on check out. A few minor things required attention - squeaky doors - which were addressed immediately by the staff.

A bit dated but in an excellent position.

The location and layout of the three bedroom unit. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The venetian blinds are very dated, damaged and ineffective. The window one bedroom whistled loudly. The inside backs of each pocket door was mouldy, very dirty and dusty. The lack of sufficient cutlery was annoying.

Very happy with our stay at Zanzibar and definitely consider staying there again

Great location close to shops, cafes and restaurants Excellent view of the ocean and just short walk to the beach. Very close to the walking track for a morning walk

It was a bit noisy at night due to some works a the rear of the building

the receptionist was lovely when we arrived.

we put our bags in the room and went out for dinner. while we were out there was an emergency back home, so we had to leave without using the room. I wrote to the hotel afterwards, but was still charged for a full stay.

location was great

no air con and only one lift worked in a busy hotel this isn’t ideal at all! no air con made it uncomfortable at night and we got no sleep so we cancelled our second night as we were very unhappy as it was my partners birthday weekend too
