Big parking lot across the small main route to Hintertux. Fifteen steps and you are in the hotel. I came to ski early-season Hintertux. And Hotel Höhlenstein took care of the Californian in spades! Awesome room. Elevator access. Aprés Ski jacuzzi was insane!!! After jacuzzi session,I had dinner at the lovely and stylish in-house restaurant.
Huge hi-five to the amazing, lovely restaurant staff. The dinner was top-notch.
Then bed time before skiing.
Perfection!

The room was specious and the view was excellent.
The food was great but didn’t offer much for vegetarian meals, as it’s a set menu only one of the courses was vegetarian, which, wasn’t great but I chose to eat from the children’s menu only the occasions when no suitable food was available.
Unfortunately we didn’t use the spa facilities due to them being exclusive to naked guests. I was travelling with my 16 year old and I wasn’t comfortable with him being around naked adults.
As the staff spoke very little English and us not knowing the native language we were unable to communicate with the staff to establish when the children were able to use the spa with clothing.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with a large separate car park and a lovely Alpine atmosphere. Our deluxe apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff at check-in were friendly, and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The wellness part is really cool as well.
Dinner was disappointing and not worth the price. The portions were small and the food was not particularly good. We accidentally took two drinks from the breakfast machine, and the waiter spoke to us in a very bothered and unpleasant manner. We were also charged for both drinks, despite breakfast being included in our stay.

The views were perfect and staff was very welcoming! A nice mountain drive to the hotel and breakfast was superb!
