Food was nice and very varied. The onsen space was also spacious and to have an outside onsen by the lake was lovely
2 things: the food is good but the restaurant looks like a canteen and could be a bit more upscale. Secondly, The hotel charged us 7700 JPY for the second key that disappeared the first evening of our stay . Ok it is normal that we repay it but the price charged was a bit outrageous for a very simple key. On the other hand, as we declined to have our room made on the second day they offered a voucher of 1000 JPY to spend on site. (!) . So waving room cleaning service ( in a room for five people ) is worth 1000 JPY but to have a very basic key replaced Is charged 7700JPY. !! It is obviously a matter of who has to pay.. not what it is really worth..
