This is a gem of a place to stay if you appreciate the style. You are welcomed as if you are a house guest. Clive, the manager, Kenneth, and the whole team are kind, helpful, discreet yet very friendly. There's a warm fire in the sitting room in the evening, a dining room, a library, a games room and a small honesty bar, as well as the garden and rooftop pool deck for guests to use. The room was tastefully furnished, with a large bathroom and lovely touches like candles, bath salts, homemade flapjacks and snacks in the room. Not to mention the turn down service, and beautifully served breakfast.
There are many small shops and galleries, cafés and restaurants within walking distance in St. James and Kalk Bay. It was a relaxing and truly enjoyable stay.

I got my booking wrong and turned up a day early but they took me in and could not have been more wonderful. Thank you! The facilities were terrific, warm comfy bed, great bathroom, excellent breakfast, charming staff, fantastic views, easy walk to Kalk Bay, good parking. Highly recommended. I will be back
