Loved everything about it!

Everything was perfect: -Our room with a giant terasse giving us the perfect view on Table Mountain, the pool and the gardens -The delicious breakfast -The eclectic decoration -The extremely helpful and kind people working at Ibis House -The beautiful pool -The secret forest cafe situated behind the estate. We loved it. It was truly a highlight during our trip to Cape Town.

Excellent place to spend time, or to use as a base to explore the gorgeous area.

The hotel is absolutely lovely, and Zoe who runs customers is very friendly and on top of everything. Real highlights for us were the amazing swimming pool, and the gate at the back of the property straight out to the Tokai ring, and the Secret Forest Cafe. Made every morning that little bit better.

Coffee could have been better (purely personal preference though), but with the secret cafe 50m away there's no problem there. The cupboard space was also a bit tricky, with the fridge and TV taking up a lot. These are minor things though, the stay was still magnificent.

Wonderful setting, walk out the door in the backyard and you're in a nature reserve Spacious rooms and building Generator available during loadshedding

Rooms could do with some updates; then this guest house is ready to be awesomefor visitors for the years to come

Pleasant

location, the villa really nice, perfect breakfast with limited choices.

we stayed for 3 night everything was perfect except the last night, there was a load shedding and the gate closed with electricity which not allowed us to enter the hotel, also there was no water when the electricity went off, there is 24/7 reception.

Superb stay from start to finish with super welcoming staff

Absolutely fantastic stay from start to finish. The manager Matthew is one of the best hosts we’ve had worldwide (having travelled very extensively) - he is super knowledgable on the local area, nothing is ever too big an ask and he made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we entered the property. Location is outside the main centre of Cape Town but that was exactly what we wanted - peace and quiet in the calm wine Constantia wine region. Would highly recommend the property to any travellers and we will certainly stay here again next time we are in South Africa.

Highly recommended we had a wonderful stay - Suzanne and the staff could not have been more helpful!

The guest house is in an excellent location yet lovely and private once you are in grounds. Delicious breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff and just wonderful all round!

The decor of the hotel was just like the pictures; lovely property surrounded by nature.

Hotel was quite far from town, not advisable for travellers without a car. Also, breakfast options were very limited.

Such a beautiful and peaceful setting, the owners and their staff are outstandingly friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It is really a guesthouse more than a hotel and we felt as though we were guests in a friend’s house, we would definitely stay there again if we go back to South Africa.

Beautiful old style estate, nicely located in Constantia. From the back of the house you can walk through the fynbos with a great view to the mountains.

Peace and quiet

The staff were very friendly and the location and scenery was beautiful. Loved the peaceful atmosphere. Was surprised with the jacuzzi in the room which we definitely made use of. Well worth the price.

A peaceful place where it feels like home.

The breakfast was exceptional and the environment was so peaceful and beautiful. A fantastic place to have some quiet time. Lovely to have the fynbos trail and the forest right there to walk and have some time in nature. The property provides this feeling anyway even without going out walking!

Tranquil stay in the heart of the Constantia countryside.

Lovely house, think ambassadorial residence in the countryside of Constantia. Not far from town. Backup during load shedding was great.

The perfect, relaxing stay for our mini honeymoon

The property is on a beautifully kept grounds. It’s a stunning villa that is well maintained, well decorated and very clean. It’s perfectly situated next to the Tokai Forest, allowing for lovely walks and a coffee at the coffee shop, attached to the property.

We felt it would’ve been best if we had hired a car when staying at this property. We had slight problems/delays when ordering ubers to the property.

beautiful old property that is well taken care of. The rooms are lovely with large balconies. Nice walking routes around the area. very secluded and quiet but an easy drive into Cape Town or to cape point. the staff was very attentive and kind.

Magnificent villa on a magical property with huge luxe rooms and wonderful bathrooms - like a luxury hotel that is also home ! charming family details and a very personal level of service left us wanting to stay forever.

Beautiful surroundings, house sits on a massive plot, very pretty. very green around the area.

the building is grand, oozes old time glamour, but it is not updated to current standards. ie, fittings, furniture very old and worn. carpets with stains all over, bathroom 30-40 years old, windows with no insulation, hence very cold at night. the owners live in the house. These are not standards of a 5star accommodation as advertised, despite the beautiful garden and building. the comfort level falls far behind. This is a very nice 3star gueshouse/sublet.

Superb guesthouse, would return and recommend to all!

Amazing place - the photos did not do it justice. Very friendly accommodating staff, beautiful house and grounds, superb breakfast, and comfortable and very clean room. Not forgetting the 2 cute resident dogs - Zeus and Hugo! Lovely walking area behind and close to many lovely vineyards!

We didn’t seem to have hot water on a morning in our room - it’s was luke warm (but lovely and hot on an evening). Would have preferred a heated pool (was way too cold to use), but it seems it’s not very common to find a heated pool in SA!
