Friendly welcome on arrival and shown around so we knew where everything was.
Room was a small double, as booked, but there was enough space for a short stay. Bed was comfortable. Everywhere was very clean. They had also upgraded us to an updated room which was kind of them.
We were able to check on early, as we had advised them of our ETA in advance.
Breakfast was very good with a choice of cooked breakfasts plus yogurt fruits and cereal.
It's about 20 minutes walk to the town and another 10 to the harbour. Our host gave good directions how to walk through the park to the sea front.
There's ample parking and it was easy to find.
The ocation is good to explore beyond Torquay.
It's a well run Bed and Breakfast exactly as described.
Can I complain about the weather? Seriously it is a well run traditional B&B. The hosts are experienced and welcoming. They have no control over the storms that weekend. 😀
The location means you can have a day out in the car if it's not beach weather.
There was some noise from the trains, but I always have a window open, it didn't disturb me but it may be an issue for some people. It's an observation not a complaint.

The owners are very pleasant and provide an excellent service. They provided us with water and milk daily in our room. The breakfast was excellent. The other guests were also nice. Some real characters staying there. A traditional UK B and B which are sadly becoming rarer. Well done.

Lovely, clean and friendly B&B. Perfect location, right next to the Abbey, and 10 min from relaxed walk to the seafront. Vanessa was an exceptionally attentive host, nothing was too much trouble for her and Cam. We've had a blast in Torquay, and the room was spotless, turned over daily, and we even had fresh towels provided half way through the stay. They provided me with selection of decaff teas at the last minute in the evening, and went out to buy lactose free milk alternative first thing in the morning! Great selection of teas and coffee, lovely cooked breakfast and buffet every morning, and such warm welcome in Devon. We couldn't ask for more. Thanks ever so much, and we'll be back whenever we can ❤️
