Great location close to the beach

The hotel is well situated with many restaurants and beach clubs nearby. Our dive shop was next door; Dr. Dive which was also fantastic.
The property is very well maintained and clean and we loved the deck with small dining table right off our room. We were in number 7 which I believe would be the best with its partial ocean view. We had a mini fridge with a small freezer compartment that came in very handy. There’s also a deck on the rooftop which we visited once. It was nice but having our own deck was fabulous.
We read that there wasn’t a coffee maker so we brought our own. You’ll also need to bring shampoo and conditioner along with cups. But we got that taken care of so it wasn’t really a problem.

Nice, clean and quiet atmosphere. Attention to details, location is great, right by the man beach and is not loud at night.
The owner and staff are very attentive.

The hotel is very cute and well located
We felt awkwardly unwelcome when we arrived, maybe she was expecting someone that looked different... Then her card reader wasn't working, we were tired and it was late so I asked if we could just deal with it the next day and she refused, and insisted I needed to either try other cards or find an ATM, as if I'd leave without paying. I had left all my other cards in Bacalar since this was just an overnight getaway. When we checked out she asked about the AC and TV controls and if we had left them in the rooms... why would they not be in the room? Did she really think we would take them? This was supposed to be a nice getaway gift to my dude for his birthday and instead was a sour reminder of racial prejudice and discrimination. Feel like there's this wave of foreign families that live in the area and look down on locals and I really am not here for it, learn some respect, humility and gratitude for the country that has allowed you a home. I will definitely not stay here again.
