This is a magical place for a get away.

The villas are right on the ocean so you wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the water. Watch the whale cruise by from your deck. Relaxed and beautifully maintained property with very attentive hosts that will help with any request. Swein also opens his private bar on Sundays and some arvos during the week which provides a wonderful opportunity to meet other travelers and get some local knowledge. We loved everything about this place and we will definitely be back.

There was nothing I didn't like but visitors need to be aware that the property is a 20min walk from Muri, the nearest little town, so a car or scooter is a must to get around. The swimming beach is also at Muri. The property does however have a very nice pool and deck area.

Perfect location to tour Rarotonga and relax after a busy day!

Location - Beach front villas so had a perfect view and sound of the ocean. Only 8 villas so very quiet and private we were just outside of Muri Beach so could either walk, cycle or bus. Information - Great information booklet with lots of tips and recommendations of activities and food places to visit we did them all and had a fantastic time and the food was amazing. Villa - The bed was so comfortable that we ended up sleeping very well. The facilities and decor well appointed.

Exceptional

We loved everything! The Passage Villas is right on the beach and is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Rooms are beautiful and well maintained. Bed and pillows were large and super comfy. Linen was first class. The support and kindness of our hosts Michele and Svein were next level - their love for Rarotonga and the Passage Villas made our stay extra memorable.

Raro villas

Absolutely loved the villas. Beautiful view of beach, great pool and owners were pleasant and very helpful. Close to shops, had fresh fruit breakfast milk coffee tea available.

Arrived at night no lighting or directions on how to get in. No key or sign with name or directions on how to get in. No hot water but did accommodated ( used another shower) two days to fix. No TV coverage USB for movies did not work. Many ants and cockroach, misquito would come in at night through gaps front door bathroom. Needs few up grades things don't function for the price we paid $250 per night. Was not located on a beach that you could swim at.

It was a perfect spot to spend the last few nights of our honeymoon.

Stayed as part of our honeymoon. A very peaceful spot. We liked seeing whales, crabs, and geckos.

Amazing views, lovely pool area, nice relaxed atmosphere, and beautifully renovated villas. Such a great place to base yourself not too far from Muri Beach, and the owners are super accommodating. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Great experience.

loved beach front villa on the eastern beach, should have nice sunrise when good weather. The owners are very helpful and drop off and pick up us to the market and restaurant.

Awesome villas and hosts

Michele and Svein were so friendly and helpful giving us lots of tips on places to go, things to do and see, and even taking us into the markets. The location is close to Muri Beach, and a short stroll to the best burgers on the island.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. It was a great place to stay for our get away :)

Pleasant

Owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Beds are comfy. We were given a late check out as we had a late flight.

Villa is a little tired and needed some work worried about using sliding door although they explained they were waiting on a part. Fuse box in wardrobe had rust which ended up on a jacket. Kitchen bench around sink needed to be replaced. Bathroom needs an upgrade.

Great Stay!

Our visit to Passage Villas was excellent! Michelle and Svein were great hosts, gave us tips on things to do, places to eat and lent us snorkel gear allowing us to swim anywhere around the island. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. We were lucky enough to see whales breaching from the waterfront. They also allowed us to check out late with a small fee and helped us arrange airport transfers. We would stay at Passage Villas again!

Super relaxing and looking forward to our return.

Location right in the beach, amazing sea views with whale watching almost everyday. Very comfortable villas, only 8 spaced well apart Pool delightful and attentive friendly hosts.

Perfect, relaxing, quiet, great space for small groups.

We booked out the 4 beachfront bure's. Which meant we had a spectacular view out to the ocean and we basically had the place to ourselves or it felt like it. We were handy to good swimming, activities, night markets and good food. Plus bonus with a saltwater pool. Recommend a car as this made it way easier to get around. Michele and Svein, were great hosts and gave us lots of good tips and looked after us. Also we were lucky to see Whales right on our doorstep most days - priceless!

Not much, it wasn't real flash like other resorts, but it suited us, quiet location and small which we liked. Also everyone else that we met while we were there were nice and loving the location and vibe as we did.

The deck chairs were very rusty and hard to use without staining yourself or any clothes.

Michelle & Svein were the perfect hosts. Great location, beautiful sunrises, loved it!

Perfect for our group as we had our own villas onsite and were able to cook meals on the bbq some nights. Michelle, Svein went out if their way to make our stay perfect in every way. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, great location. Recommend a car or scooter to get around for at least part of your stay. The villas were spacious and had everything we needed and the bbq and bar were fabulous too. Loved our stay there and hard to leave!

Fabulous stay in a stunning location.

We rented four villas, two were beachfront with fabulous views and the other two were garden villas which had lovely outlooks. We felt very safe as the property was well off the road - the only negative was that we couldn't swim directly in front of the property but this was easily overcome by going to other beaches. The prevailing wind during our stay was onshore so we would often go to the other side of the island where the beaches were protected by the mountains. Even Muri beach was too windy to really relax and enjoy, so be prepared to travel to less windy places wherever you stay.

There was nothing we didn't like - the hosts were attentive yet discreet. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Quiet, private and beautiful views.

This hidden gem was perfect!, quiet, private, and super clean. Our villa had a beautiful view of the ocean. Handy to Muri Beach. Everything you need and the hosts were amazing. So friendly and helpful they went out of their way to make us welcome and gave us great advice on activities/eating out etc. These villas are great value for money.

Passage to paradise unfolds

The location was good for grocery, gas, mkt, & lagoon swimming nearby. The host was welcoming & forthcoming with tips on things to do plus very accomodating with a late checkout. Very grateful

Pool available but no swimming at front door. Beautiful sunrises though. Happy that the muri lagoon was not too far.

the villas looked nicer to stay in than the room we were in ,the pool was nice in cool and deep the hosts were lovely and informative breakfast stocks in the fridge and milk coffee etc

the beds were really hard and extremely uncomfortable and we were underneath the owners apartment and the footsteps or stomping as it sounded like from underneath really needs more insulation or something

Michele and Svein were awesome - took us to many local events and made us feel so welcome.

Loved it - great view, great hosts and loved the privacy. Perfect spot for a quiet get away which is still within reach of Muri Beach and some great snorkelling spots.
