The hotel is very well located. It has an elevator and air conditioning. The room is quiet.
The pillows definitely need to be replaced. They're not up to hotel standards. The mattress is showing signs of wear as well.

Hôtel d’Orléans is in a central location, steps away from place Martroi, now a pedestrian zone, with plenty of restaurants and outdoor dining. It is in the historic center of Orléans, easy to visit the Cathedral and museums. Perfect!

This hotel has two great strengths: the location right next to the main square and its parking facilities. The staff was also very nice and communicative - hats off to the girls in the reception.
The hotel has something very rare for central locations in old French cities - parking which doesn't consist of a horribly designed underground garage but their own street level private garages right across from the hotel entrance. If you have a proper car and want to park and stay in the very center of Orleans this is a strong reason to choose this hotel.
The interior looks like it's some 25 years old and everything is pretty worn down so the hotell really is overdue a good renovation. Apart from some cobwebs the room was clean and comfortable though. The price was fair for a worn French 3 star hotel though.
