Good location, friendly staff, room is clean.
Soundproofing is not enough. You can hear neighboring guests and upper floors footsteps. Vehicles outside can be heard.

My superior room was spacious and very comfortable. It was also very quiet. No noise from outside or nearby rooms.
Quiet neighborhood and walking distance to the Taichung train station, but may take more than ten minutes.
A lot of breakfast items were cold. Three different kinds of fruit are available, but only if you eat early. Otherwise, some dishes or fruit are not replenished.
Not a ton of restaurants nearby. A couple of blocks away there is a great old fashion bakery store with lots of traditional treats.

The room is clean and comfortable. It is easy to spot this hotel too. The staff were kind and helped me a book a taxi to the train station.
The building is quite old and some upgrading is needed. Example : the gym is old and small. It is located in the car park which was scary. The laundry room was also located there. I think little attention has been put in to upgrade the building.
