Wonderful stay at a lovely seaside Inn, would definitely recommend.

Everything was lovely, staff were really friendly and very attentive. Room was amazing.

Breakfast was an issue for me as I am gluten free- there was no fresh fruit/ fruit salad which was on the breakfast menu and I would normally have. Cooked breakfast which my husband had was lovely.

An okay stay- good location for Sidmouth.

Good location- a comfortable bed, and nice products in the bathroom. Decent breakfast.

Window from the bedroom looked over kitchen bins and loud noises from the kitchen in early morning woke us up. Evening staff were unhelpful and unfriendly - there wasn’t a particularly hospitable atmosphere- breakfast staff were more friendly.

paid for single room and understandably compact industrial extractor outside a problem if window opened- obviously can’t be changed. room however had excellent en suite

Brilliant family getaway to the coast - the location is absolutely perfect and the staff were brilliant! We cannot wait

The staff were friendly, the room was clean and beautifully decorated with a wonderful sea view. We ate dinner in the restaurant on the first night which was amazing - it was a fantastic family holiday in a quaint coastal town. We will most definitely be back!

Comfortable stay next to the sea in charming Sidmouth

The location was perfect and the sea view from our room a great bonus. Clean and comfortable with very friendly approachable staff. Good choice of cooked breakfast

The only negative was the really small ensuite but not much can be done about that.

Lovely sea front Inn. Family run ... lovely breakfast and meal in the restaurant. Had a room upgrade which was a nice surprise. Clean light and spacious room. Perfect little bathroom with quality towels and excellent shower. Staff were all chatty and pleasant. Perfect mini break.

We would nt stay here again.

The size of the room was good, more like a little apartment with kettle,coffee machine, fridge and microwave. Breakfasts we're good, freshly cooked and served quickly. Good location on the esplanade.

The bedroom window overlooked the kitchen and the noise from the extraction system meant we couldn't open the window. Car parking was terrible. The website said there was plenty of free parking on the esplanade. This is not true!

It was a real pleasure to stay, and I would visit again

Staff were very friendly and helpful and made our short stay a real pleasure. The breakfasts were superb with lots of choice. Food in the Restaurant and bar was great and good value.

At the back of the Inn the noise from the air con/ extractor fan (not sure what it was) went on all night and could be a bit annoying. Would have liked a softer pillow.

Sidmouth, the route to true happiness

Stayed here before and will again. Excellent location, rooms are well equipped and comfy, especially like the provision of a bottle of water (glass not plastic). They seem to be quite ethical, with excellent breakfast options catering to a full range of sustainable provisions and lifestyle choices. They are less formal than their sister hotels, which is great for those young at heart as Dukes is the social hub of Sidmouth.

Not suitable for those with mobility issues as all rooms accessed by stairs. As this is not a hotel, check in can be a little confusing. There is no designated reception.

A Fabulous stay

Everything about Dukes was lovely. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were great.

I would have liked a demonstration on how to exit/enter the hotel if it was locked as it was the night before the queens funeral.
