Staff were friendly and very helpful. It was also a nice touch with the complementary breakfast snacks along with hot drinks every morning. It was great value for money!
The shower was faulty during our stay but we opted for baths instead anyway so wasn’t a massive issue.

I was not really expecting it to be as nice as it was as the photos make it look a bit shabby and old- fashioned but it had such charm, the beds were comfy, the over bath shower was powerful and the pre-filled coffee and tea cups downstairs were so cute. Plus you get free pastries (in cellophane but lovely) every morning. It’s a 3 minute walk from Haymarket station and walking distance from everything. The staff were lovely and 24hr reception was great. Cleaned daily and plenty of towels, an iron and good hairdryer.
Nothing really. It’s a bit tired and dated in areas but was such good value given how overpriced everywhere else was for the Fringe, I cannot complain.

Excellent location and 24 hour reception.
Broken shower and a smell of urine on all carpets in all hallways- lots of air fresheners but the smell was too strong! The shower was very weak and was a dribble and broke in the first day. We didn’t shower as it would never have rinsed shampoo out. Maintenance came and fixed the shower that would not turn off but it didn’t improve the flow of water. Stairs were really steep and we were put on top floor having to carry our bags up. On our floor there was work going on and a ladder outside on floor all the days we were there. There were 6 flights of deep stairs that smelt of urine.
