Quiet and attractive location in a small village. Quirky little touches like the Wellington boots to borrow, and the very friendly cat! Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

A lovely hotel in a tiny hamlet a mile from Sherbourne - a friendly and pretty place. We stayed in one of the two rooms backing onto the garden which had a large balcony, there were two ground floor garden rooms too. Good breakfast.
The concept of room service seemed a stretch too far and if you are not booked in for the restaurant you really have to go off to Sherbourne to find food. That said they were happy to give a bowl of crisps when asked at reception.

Breakfast was exceptional. The choice and quality second to none.
Room 19 was stifling. There was a small fan which was not very effective. The most uncomfortable 5 nights we have ever experienced as it was too hot. For two nights my Husband slept on the floor as it was cooler. We were on the top floor ie 1st floor which must have been loft space in the past due to flooding ceilings. This probably contributed to the heat. A glass shelf in the bathroom fell off during the night even though only a handful of toiletries on it. There was an issue with the toilet and shower on the last night. Toilet would not flush and shower would not drain away. No fridge in the room. 1 bottle of complimentary water for two people.
