Location is good, staff is nice, and facilities are very nice as well, very into the surf scene.
I would just say that, for the price paid I was expecting a bit more on the breakfast and room/bathroom size.
Breakfast: Although I can say it has good quality products, it was just way too simple in terms of variety. Only the classic things, by now I would expect a place like that, at high rate, to have things like avocato or some nice healthy bread. I don't understand why the bacon and mushrooms, I don't see it as the classic english tourist hotel, so that's my input. That said, the few it had, it was of quality for sure.
Room (twin bed): it would be way too small if I would go with another person and for more than two nights. I'm not a person to complain about prices because I always feel that the free market decides on this topic, but I felt it was way too expensive. I don't know hotel's rational on this, but this was one of the few times I felt significatly overcharged, it's not that it wasn't good, but not for such high price in my opinion. Anyway, the hotel may argue that it's the only way they can operate and pay costs, and if so I just need to agree with it.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Surfers Lodge in Peniche. Since it was quite quiet during our visit, there was no breakfast buffet. Instead, we could order whatever we wanted, which worked perfectly fine for us.
The staff was consistently very friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. A special highlight was the kitchen – the food was excellent, and we ended up having dinner there every evening.
One thing to be aware of: we expected the accommodation to be directly by the sea. In reality, you need to take a short drive to reach the beaches. However, it’s quick and easy, so not a big issue.
Overall, a very pleasant stay with a great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food.

The design, the breakfast
We’ve stayed in “Beatles” suite. It’s window is to the street and they just didn’t bother to do any noise isolation like the doors a bit better than nothing. So it was pretty much as good as sleeping on the street. If you into that kind of thing, go ahead! However, if the windows were facing the other side (i wish!) it would have been a very nice place to stay. Oh, and the bathroom in the suite is for midgets.
