It was very clean and nicely decorated, the bedroom was comfortable, the gated parking was excellent and the breakfast was of a good quality
The room had a sign showing how to contact reception but no phone to follow said instructions, the bathroom lacked anywhere to put/hang towels. Many of the staff were just poor and seemed a bit uninterested, they were not rude but had no sense of urgency and seemed to lack training in how to address guests appropriately. An example would be as there wasn’t a phone in our room I walked to reception to ask for an iron and an ironing board to be sent to the room, the lady at reception just looked at me and said “what do you want it now” so I said in the next 10-15 minutes would be good. So 45 minutes later I had to ring reception (on the landline number from my mobile) and ask for it again. The lady who ultimately brought it was apologetic but we stay away a lot at nice hotels and receive much better general service. At breakfast nobody explained to the process to us when seating us so we had to flag down a waitress and ask where the food was as we were seated outside, much of the buffet style food had run out and we had to ask for it to be replenished and it took quite some time to get more out, although the food itself was really nice…
Ultimately for the cost of this place I’d choose to stay elsewhere if I was visiting again
