Toshi and his wife are very welcoming, kind and hard working. Their pension is beautiful and we had a lovely stay. It is only a 10 minute walk up to the main town, and Toshi will pick you up after skiing and take you up the hill each morning.

Quaint accommodation with a reasonably sized double bedroom. Excellent breakfast and dinner included.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. They both speak excellent English.
Only 2 minutes by car from Madarao lift ticket office.
There is nothing to dislike.

As other reviews have outlined, the kind and very helpful hosts really make the stay at Elm Pension warm and welcoming. The daily breakfasts were a great start to the day before being driven the short distance to the ski area. We enjoyed a dinner in house also - book in advance though if you need this. We had clear weather and I also found a walk to an early dinner elsewhere was easy and a nice way to look around.
If you want high quality ski rental I suggest organising your own, otherwise hosts can arrange. Cash needed and no ATM in Madarao.
