We were a last minute booking and the owner went out of his way to welcome us and make us comfortable. Our room was very large with everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent.

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated and was clean and worked well. The breakfast was tasty and hot. Most of the staff were very friendly.
The bedroom was small with only just enough room to open a suitcase. The bathroom was very small. It was the end of October and we found it quite cold as the heating was not turned on yet. On our first morning the fire alarm went off. A woman then started knocking on the door and, when opened, literally pushed her way in while my wife was still dressing and accused us of having a shower with the bathroom door open. We pleaded guilty to this heinous crime, she flung the window open, so it became a lot colder, and left. I don’t know who she was. The next morning we were very nervous about taking a shower so just had the quickest of rinses. Luckily we were only staying for 2 nights.

Lovely room, spacious and very comfy bed. Ideally situated for short walk to seafront and shops.

For the money, the breakfast was disappointing. Very basic but not what you’d expect for £275 a night.
There were no staff visible on Sunday evening, the bar worked on an honesty system which, once we got the bill (£16.50 for a bottle of cider, a can of Sprite and some nuts!) made us reconsider our ethical stance!!!
