We really enjoyed the hot tub; unfortunately, we weren’t able to try the sauna because we arrived late, so we couldn’t enjoy the view either—even though it must be a wonderful experience when you have it all together. The sea view from the room was also incredible. Breakfast was plentiful, the staff was very friendly, and the common area was very cozy—even late at night, we were able to relax a bit there, toasting with wine we’d bought from the self-service buffet. It was a wonderful experience!

Very easy and welcoming check- in. Staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with many choices. Nice lounge with big screen TV, They offered an “ honesty bar” so you could help yourself to beer, wine and soft drinks that you paid for at check-out. We loved Hotel West and highly recommend a stay there.
Can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

The room was cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable and the linen smelled great. There was plenty of hot water (a must after a walk in the moody Icelandic weather). The fjord was literally across the street, we could see the water and hear the seabirds. The wonderful lady at the front desk greeted us warmly. She answered all our questions and also showed us pictures of the recent solar eclipse and the Aurora Borealis visible from the hotel (during darker months). We had breakfast the next morning; check in and out was smooth and effortless; parking was included. Hotel operates during winter months too. Note: If you have mobility issues, ask for a first floor room.

The location was brilliant . We had a great view. Our room had a lovely view across the water. Beds were very comfortable and the shower room was very good once we had the bulb replaced that was out. Very clean.
It would had been nice to have someone on the desk when we arrived instead of a key left on the desk. so we had no one to ask about where to go for dinner or anything. The room was very small and seemed smaller as build into the eaves so one side of the bed was sloped and unable to stand on that side. Also when we checked out no one on the desk just left key. Breakfast was ok but not as good as we expected from their information. The young lady on breakfast duty was very nice but as she did not speak any English was not able to help find green tea.
