Our room was lovely and spacious with a super bathroom and outlook. The breakfasts were super and so was the evening meal we had there. Also dog friendly which is a big plus for us.
The duvets were rather heavy and hot but maybe that was because cold weather was forecast?

The breakfast was superb and the chef was a star by cooking us boiled eggs! Our evening meal was also very good even though the veg side for my dish did not materialise. The restaurant had a fabulous atmosphere and the staff were excellent. Our bed was a very comfy superking so we slept very well. The Chomeley Arms is set in a very pretty and peaceful location and we have stayed there in the past but it is not what it used to be.
The bathroom was absolutely terrible. Had it not been for the health-hazard state of this room, we would have given The Chomeley Arms a 10 out of 10 score. And the bathroom is a serious health-hazard as there is mould growing around the shower head, around the side of the bath and around the mastic which was also black and around the taps. The timber basin surround is very well worn and needs replacing. I discussed this with the landlord and followed up my concerns in an email to him but unfortunately have not had a reply. The room should not be let until the bathroom has been replaced in its entirety; someone is going to be very ill in the near future if the room is not renovated professionally.
