A wonderful base to either get away from things or a base camp to visit Kilkenny and other places in the area.

It is a lovely country estate that is difficult to describe in words. The owner is a great host and makes you feel welcome and like family.

A lovely luxury escape from the everyday .

Beautiful scenery around house. Most comfortable bed ever. High quality bed linen . Bathroom was huge and great waterfall shower . Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Room was warm and so cosy when we got back late in the evening.

Comfy, quiet and great breakfast.

Charming property in lovely grounds - we only stayed one night while on the way to south west Ireland, so it was a shame we didn't have longer to explore. The room was nice and large and comfortable. The breakfast was first-class and certainly set us up for a day of travelling.

Some will prefer the option of a shower (there is a handheld one connected to the bath taps), but it was actually a great opportunity to have a bath instead, which felt like a luxury.

Just do it. Beautiful.

Bit off the beaten track but boy was this worth it. The lady that runs the show is a born hotelier. Beautiful, genuine hospitality and an old, characterful, beautiful house and awesome grounds. Hands down, the best place I stayed in Ireland.

I am having to be very picky here - the wifi signal in the house could have been better. But nobody cares. This was a lovely place to stay.

A step back in time! So peaceful-fabulous stay!

We loved our stay at Ballyduff house. It was so peaceful and quiet. The house is beautiful. The breakfast was fabulous. We were able to sit and look out the window on the river. The room was so lovely. We really enjoyed our stay and our host was so helpful and friendly.

Beautuful place to stay and very close to Mount Juliet where we were attending a wedding. Breda. the owner was warm and welcoming. The bedroom was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. We would highly recommend.

It was a treat to be invited into a beautiful, grand house with a superb hostess.

Everything really. Our favourite stay in Ireland. The host was attentive, helpful, lovely, and her house is extremely beautiful. Couldn't believe we found our way to such a stunning and unique historical place. The attention to every detail the perfect breakfast, and the exceptional beauty of the house, gardens, river, made our stay memorable.

Wonderful stay in a fine Georgian house set in beautiful countryside

The house is situated in the most beautiful countryside. The host and staff are all very friendly, and the accommodation is comfortable and scrupulously clean. Breakfast is freshly cooked and served in a fine dining room overlooking the garden and a picturesque river. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Georgian period splendour in the tranquil Irish countryside.

A wonderful Georgian country house with attached castle. The perfect place to relax amongst tranquil countryside. Filled with fine period furniture and family portraits. Spotlessly clean everywhere and Breda was the best of hostesses who made our stay exceptional. A delicious Irish breakfast with attention to the smallest of details. Ballyduff was the most comfortable B&B I’ve ever stayed in, no petty rules or garish signs, just perfect.

Nothing. Was a bit worried about our booking initially as there was no response to my emails for a few weeks but the host had been waylaid following surgery. All turned out very well and Breda was simply lovely.
