Friendly staff, room was extremely clean and tidy and to good taste little to warm when we got there but open the windows and was fine breakfast was amazing both days , they looked after our dog just as much as they looked after us
Room was extremely warm when we got there

Family run hotel. Lovely owners and welcoming. Good value for money and a nice location just not central lakes. Breakfast included as was a huge portion and it also had a good option of food for the dinner menu. We Sat outside and had their own open fire burning and big blankets as it got cold at night. Booked two rooms and it was like in an annex with shared living and kitchen space. Really lovely place to stay. Would definitely come back
Bed were huge but slight hard and uncomfortable and tv in the rooms are very small.

Lovely characterful hotel. Bedroom had wooden beams. Outside area was excellent with a good atmosphere even for a Wednesday evening/night.

Lovely room in a refurbished inn and in a great location not far from Eskdale and Wasdale. Beer garden fantastic as the sun went down. Good choice of beers.
Check in was poor because we were not told that the kitchen closed at 8pm. This meant that when we went for dinner at 815, we were told we couldnt have food. After complaining to the owner (who was defensive rather than accommodating), a table was found and the food was fine. Nothing wrong with this pub at all - just treat your guests appropriately if they have a problem!
