My family and I chose to stay at this location for our recent vacation in Seoul, and it turned out to be an incredible decision. We prioritize staying among locals when we travel internationally to fully immerse ourselves in the culture, and this traditional Hanok provided exactly that experience. The property was a perfect, well-executed blend of historic Korean charm and necessary modern convenience. The rooms were spacious and airy, the kitchen was well-appointed for our needs, and the overall peaceful atmosphere—especially the soothing sound of rain on the roof during our first night—was simply magical. We felt exceptionally safe in the neighborhood, which is situated in a great area near the Blue House, making it easy to walk to local shops and interact with the community. Additionally, the check-in process was entirely seamless; the digital lock instructions were spot-on and easy to follow, and our communication with the owner was consistently helpful and positive throughout our five-night stay.
The primary drawback of our stay was the presence of ants in one of the rooms detached from the main living area, alongside a persistent issue with mosquitoes throughout the entire property. While it was clear the owner was aware of these challenges—as evidenced by the provided insecticides—I felt that being proactive about these shortcomings in the listing or pre-arrival communication would have allowed us to prepare better. That said, the owner was responsive and helpful when we reached out, and we truly appreciated them bringing us additional supplies to help manage the mosquito situation. Also, there was a disconnect on the rules of recycling. It is very important to us to abide by the rules of the place where we are staying, but the rules of recycling were difficult to follow. A better understanding of the recycling requirements could have been supplied so that we could fully comply.

Location is perfect, close to the palace. And also safe as it’s close to presidential office. The entire Hanok is fully renewed, with modern facilities for comfortable living yet maintaining authentic vibe.
It has all you need including shampoo, shower gel, kettle etc. and amazing photos and videos are guaranteed:)
Also the staff is super friendly!
