Would stay again!

The view from the bedroom was incredible - seriously beautiful - and we felt so happy and so lucky that not only did we have a great view, but that the windows opened and we could have fresh air. That was so so important to us! The woman who runs the Bed and Breakfast is so sweet, also, and very kind. The location of this property is so perfect with easy walking to the restaurants and shopping available in St. Ives. We also *really* loved that our room locked with a skeleton key and the furniture in the room is vintage Hollywood Regency and includes the most beautiful armoire for your closet use. The Armoire is big and had room for us to hang our things and also store our suitcases and bags. We are "carry-on" only travlers so it was easeful for us. Heads up to weary travelers - there are stairs only and the proprietor is a senior so you are carrying your things up the stairs to your room, we were fine with this. So fun and cute and a really unique way to stay in St. Ives and explore Cornwall. Staying here made us feel as if we would like to return and stay longer - off season. What a beautiful place to visit!

The bedroom can accommodate two, but it's best suited to one. Luckily I was staying with my mom and so we were very comfortable with each other. Overall, in the UK, we have found that they prefer Double beds, rather than Queen or King. So it's a tight sleep and you better be comfortable with whoever you share a room with. We also didn't love the bathroom - the shower was really complex to use and hard to figure out and was the ONLY reason we were happy we only had two nights there. The faucet and shower heads were not ideal for the size of shower and water would get everywhere and the water flow was kind of painful due to the tight squeeze. There wasn't really enough information about arrival at the train station. Heads up for anyone not local/not from the uk - when you arrive, there are no taxi's and the bus information is not present at the station because if you arrive after hours it's all closed up and there is no posted info or phone numbers for arrival pickups. It would have been nice if there was someplace to sit outside as well, due to the tight space in the room.

Superb

Great welcome, old fashioned room but in a good way. Fantastic modern shower and bathroom. Very clean. The view was amazing, the light changing across the sea and headland. Very well positioned for everything in St Ives.

Couldn't find anyone to thank and say goodbye at 9.30 in the morning.

Delightful reception & assistance.

A problem on leaving. No credit cards only £ cash accepted or bank transfer. We should have been advised of this BEFORE ARRIVAL!!! Also only £ Sterling cash preferred not Euros, which was all we had. Problem over the exchange rate, so we now have to reimburse the Guest House £30 difference on the exchange rate offered the Guest House locally. A pity.

Fabulous view and location

Lovely view and location, right in the middle of the shopping, art galleries, bars and beach. The ladies who's home it was were very welcoming and kind.

Not having a payment machine or taking it through Booking.com was a slight inconvenience but nothing major. No parking was a bit annoying but we managed to get long term parking nearby at Barnoon if you waited for someone to leave. The house is on a very steep hill, which would be difficult for people with mobility issues, our car struggled.

Pat is a nice lady from the Midlands who will welcome you warmly to her comfortable home.

nice clean room, comfortable bed, good location. The proprietress, Pat, is so sweet and cheerful, like a Grandma.

no breakfast, which kind of surprised me. but then when I was leaving, Pat asked me if I’d had anything to eat, so I’m not actually sure if she was offering breakfast or not. but there was nothing in the house information that indicated breakfast was available.

Greqt ocation ,amazing views,friendly staff and willing to help, overally am very happy and will definitely come back.

Small fridge would be handy in room. There is no parking however location is extremely close to beach and the parking is very limited in this area so its understandable.

the best views over st ives harbour in a fantastic, authentic guest house!

this gorgeously located guest house overlooking the harbour of st ives is simply great. lana the host is so friendly and authentic. we were in room 2 which has the best view over a harbour we ever had. you're literally falling asleep looking out on the harbour. with the tide coming in and going out, it becomes a fantastic spectacle to just simply look out the window. the room is all in white which makes you careful, which we experienced as enjoyable :-)

The view was excellent, the room was light and airy, was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided. The location was great, as well, 5 minutes away from the beach, Tate Museum, shops and restaurants, and Pat was lovely, welcoming, and a very helpful host.

The bathroom door made noise which was expecially audible at night, a bedside table for each side of the bed would have been very useful, and maybe a bigger bed, everything else was great!

The location was very close to everything you’d want or need. We easily walked from the train station and then into town for shopping, dining, and the beach. Its location at the top of a hill means there are outstanding views of the sea, but beware the walk up is steep!

The view was amazing. Owners of the property were very friendly and lovely to talk to. Very close to shops and beaches. Very quiet, well shielded from any noise from tourists on the main strip

The headboard was very rickety and we needed to stuff pillows behind it to stop it hitting the wall when just turning over in bed

The room was extremely clean and decorated to a high level. Fantastic view of the sea, no-one over looking us. The owner was delightful, very friendly and helpful.
