An affordable, comfortable stay minutes away from all the major sights of York. Five minutes to walk to the Minstry, less than that to get on the wall at Monk's Bar, and we could even walk easily from the train station with our packs, and back the next day. Superb location.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms felt nicely decorated.
The bathrooms could do with a deep clean as the corners were a little grubby.
The bed was very hard.
Also whilst this is not something that is easily remedied the walls were very thin and it was easy to hear what was being said in other rooms.

Location was perfect. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and polite.
The room needs a lot of work and maintenance, especially the toilets; some of the mattresses need changing.
