I wanted a basic, quiet, clean room close to Bentota Beach and this was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Room was absolutely spotless and comfortable. Not luxury by any means but met my needs perfectly. My only negative is that the entrance from the train station platform is not lighted at all. Use your flashlight on your cell phone as you go down the steps in complete darkness. The family that owns the place and lives on the first floor were very charming, from Grandma to grandchildren...totally welcoming. It was nice to be greeted by the kids. It is a huge plus to have multiple restaurants and the beach just steps away. And the train? The entrance is actually from the train platform - what could be more convenient?

I spent 3 wonderful nights at Osanda Guest. The location couldn't be more convenient in Bentota, it is literally ON the train platform. I loved sitting on my private balcony looking through the garden and watching the trains go by.
A 5min walk into the small town centre for any essentials and the beach 2mins walk across the tracks.
Super friendly hosts and a lovely comfortable clean room.

friendly host woman, let us wash clothes and welcome drinks and tea
located 1 min to the train, very loud
dirty, old things, window in the shower broken, reptiles and cockroaches find their way in
very in your face host man, bothered us too much at the arrival with different proposals
dog in the property that is not restrained and barking all the time
most of the furniture and bed sheets old , dirty and need to be freshen up
