Disappointing

Tranquil setting and nice pool

Our room was not as described (no pool view). The AC wasn’t working on arrival. We complained and were told it had been fixed. We came back to the room 4 hours later (at 11pm) and it was still broken. It then took 40mins for them to move us to a new room. We also had an issue with our shower. In general, staff were hard to locate and we couldn’t always get through to the manager via his mobile. The location is always a good 20min walk from the beach.

Endroit parfait pour séjourner à Weligama au calme avec des animaux sauvages

Hôtel très bien entretenu, au calme, beau jardin avec piscine et plein d’animaux sauvages : singes, écureuils, iguane, oiseaux, le tout à 10 mn à pied de la plage de Weligama. Magnifique temple à côté. Équipe sympathique et disponible. Petits déjeuners variés. Parfait!

Enticed to stay by false clothes on the Booking.com website

The location was out of town and there was a garden with wildlife and a swimming pool.

The booked rooms were appalling, dirty unfurnished and smelling of urine. We were relocated to slightly better rooms. The staff were surley and unhelpful. We stayed for two weeks, but only got a room service twice in that time. During one of the room service, a bar of chocolate was stolen from our room by a member of staff. Often, there appeared to be no staff at all on the premises just a sign at reception which said manager followed by a telephone number. One evening, we witnessed a member of staff so drunk that he couldn’t walk without help. Equipment and facilities in the hotel were in a poor state of repair, and often things didn’t work. The swimming pool was occasionally cleaned, but usually had a lot of dead leaves floating on it, there were two hard sunbeds to be shared between the 12 rooms. There was no question of eating in the so-called restaurant as the staff wouldn’t serve you and conditions were very unhygienic. On the Booking.com website, the Hotel claimed to have a washing machine. a dishwasher it did not.

why not get internet boosters so guests can enjoy internet in their rooms

Recovering and peaceful.

We had a really great stay at Udi’s place ♥️ We spent 12 days here and had it as our base while exploring the areas around. We miss the pool and the dogs! But hopefully one day we’ll meet again. /Isabell and Jonas from Sweden 🇸🇪

As swedes during wintertime we LOVE the sun when we are finally away for vacation 😏 So a few more sunbeds by the pool would be a nice upgrade for all guests.

located outside of weligama. I liked the walk down to the beach/ into the main town. easy to get buses to nearby towns such as midigama/ ahangama

no WiFi in the rooms, only able to use at seating area near kitchen, at night this is not ideal as there are a lot of mosquitoes.

Absolutely incredible

Incredible. The rooms were lovely, had everything we needed. Very spacious, air con, fan, nice lighting, TV and hot water. We stayed extra nights because it was such good value for money. The pool was lovely, clean and large. They let us use the kitchen which meant we saved money and was able to cook whatever we wanted as the kitchen had everything you need. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The manager is lovely and helpful and the other workers were very good and friendly. Thank you!

Superb

Rooms and the Pool were clean and the staff including Dimuthu was super helpful. The Garden Area was nice waking up to the calls of the Peacocks. Sight of monkeys are plenty in the vicinity. I requested a quiet place to take have an Online Meeting and the Owner was quick to offer his bungalow for me to conduct same. Highly recommend for anyone planning a short stay in Weligama.

Had a wonderful time with friends and the staff was so friendly.

The garding and hotel rooms were amzing. Also the environment was quiet and tempting.We were allowed to use even their kitchen and made our dinner which was a diffent experience we had.

I think this place needs more attention from managers

the window in a shower didn’t close, windows in general was easy to pipes and get to our room, we didn’t see any hotel stuff around but in the night the was a woman screaming so we were afraid to go outside. in the morning we cancelled our booking and decided to go to another place. WiFi doesn’t work good in all the areas

Stunning, modern hotel with beautiful garden.

Beautiful garden with mature tree, beautiful peacocks wandering around. Felt very private with no other buildings looking over you. The pool was amazing, very modern feeling. we stayed in the villa which was gorgeous and quiet as it was situation on its own. it was an extremely clean hotel, with a very well maintain garden area. We had a lovely breakfast. Our hosts were very lovely and welcoming.

The one and only positive side of this hotel was working AC in the room

-The room was full of ants and other insects -It was the only hotel during our 3 weeks trip in Sri Lanka where there was not a right type of plug ins for our adapters, and when we asked for the adapter in reception we got the wrong type -The staff didnt really talk to us, not even when we checked in -The pool side might have been nice but there was not sunbeds -The room was really dark and did not have windows -The toilet seat was broken -After we checked out and asked the staff to order us a tuk tuk, the driver asked for 400% overprice and did not lower the price after the bargaining so we had to walk for a while to get proper ride (which we got)
