Breakfast was great, good selection. Room very cozy and comfortable (room 7). Dinner menu also great, lovely atmosphere, lots of seating options. Perfect location if visiting Highclere Castle, would recommend and stay again.
Only issue was TV connection was sometimes a bit poor, BBC 1 seemed to be the only channel not affected, however only a minor thing as your not really staying to watch the TV.

Great location for Highclere castle
The food was very good and good choice for breakfast.
Service was swift.
The staff were very sweet
I wouldn’t say that I didn’t like but I could have given the room a better clean.
There was none of the usual kind of WiFi information, note your car reg etc.
It wasn’t really apparent that the rooms were separate from the pub which wasn’t a real problem but I felt it should have been noted. Also the stairs were pretty steep and a bit precarious to get up to the bedroom.
The room was adequate but quite small. Incredibly hot and stuffy; there was a little fan but it was very noisy.
The room I booked had a bath in the photos but I only had a shower.
These are not complaints just point to note.

The location was great as we were on our way down to Southampton. Would stay again.
I thought the breakfast was a continental breakfast with pastries and fruit but it was a cooked breakfast.

We visited Highclere Castle so the location was perfect. The staff were brilliant Jamie, Scarlett & Lucy, all excellent. Comfortable bed. Food was lovely, we had evening meal & breakfast. The evening menu was a bit limited, posh pub grub, some strange combinations, but what we had was nice.
The room was very small, bathroom door was like a barn door. The wardrobe & desk appeared to be made of scaffolding & wood, nothing in the room matched, windowed door leading outside so we were on full view to the carpark unless the curtains were fully closed, also the door wasn't that secure. Could do with some TLC, or a woman's touch maybe.
