Absolutely amazing place! Quinta das Bolas looks and feels like a colonial residence stuck in the past (in the good sence!) Lovely house, with nice rooms and fantastic big common space, filled with antique (yet comfy!) furniture and a tasty deco. The house is sunk in the beautiful garden, full of flowers and the trees giving you a hideout from the heat. A shady terrace was a great space to spend time and have our meals outdoors. Despite late arrival we've been awaited by Carlos, who gave us a lot of usefull info about the property and the island, and greeted us with a variety of local products.
Located in very quiet area on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada, 4 minutes drive from well supplied shopping center and a short drive from motorway, it's a great place to stay, and a convinient starting point for all possible island's trips.
The beds, having a unique charm of antique and being pretty comfy, are quite short for taller guys. Air conitioning might be handy on hotter days (however, event in August, the temperatures wer not so bad inside)

We arrived very late die to flight delay and someone was waiting for us to give the keys and the initial explanations very friendly. This location is a little Paradise with a great garden full of Flowers. Lots of space within the house for our family of 6.

Welcome gifts we given at time of arrival. Garden is beautiful and atmosphere relaxing. Host was very communicative and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice view of the ocean in the distance.
