Pub itself currently undergoing renovations. Like some other facilities in town the pub itself at time of our visit ( September 2026) closed on Sunday afternoon and may well not reopen till Wednesday. Payment was in advance and check in by SMS & lockbox, so no personal contact for duration of stay

Quiet with comfy bed and good heating. The town has good pubs and food outlets and has a good feel to it.

Overhead light didn’t work but staff helpful with why it happened. A bigger problem for them and didn’t stop us using the room
