I woukd recommend the wellow but don’t expect the ritz the price is right for what you get

We have stayed here twice now excellent staff value for money on food and drinks in a very good place loads of free parking the rooms are cheap and cheerful but very clean lovely towels and bedding

We had a couple of problems this time with the room but I emailed about them and the response was excellent I can’t fault this place

Fabulous staff make this value stay exceptional

Great friendly place, fabulous food and drink, great room service and genuinely lovely staff. Room for great, basic and could do with an uplift but perfectly good and great value. Comfy bed, great pillows and piping hot water. Couldn’t ask for more.

No real dislikes, would like a smart tv to access streaming services and would be great to have a few more tea bags and coffee but was refilled on request.

Has potential but needs investment

The property has lots of potential, is in a good location with a large menu

Room smelt of very stale smoke, bathroom was very dated and old. Shower was very stiff to operate, plug missing from sink and generally in need of renovation.

Excellent value, extremely clean. Perfect for budget travellers.

I'm a regular guest at this hotel. It's excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the rooms are clean. Yes, the accommodation is basic, but there's a large TV in every room, and for this absurdly cheap price, The Wellow is a bargain.

Good value clean comfortable and friendly staff

Friendly staff clean comfortable room a bit outdated however for the price it was great. Bed was comfy room was warm and clean. Had everything needed for a couple of nights and the breakfast choice in the bar area was great I had a breakfast wrap it was delicious! Also plenty of pub meal choices for the evening. Great location next to bowling alley cinema shops and across from the boating lake. It wasn’t a luxury room but had all we needed and for the price great value

Had a bit of problem with shower temperature it was very hot and cold was more a trickle but there was a bath as well

I like staying there. It is a good value place. Unfortunately some of the other guests seem to ignore no smoking rules. Better sensors would help a lot to prevent this and would add to safety and reduce smells. The showers are always a challenge. Plenty of hot water though and using the bath is easier. Security lock to rooms access needs repairing- and the code changing. Staff try their very best . I will definitely stay again-- but a few changes could make it much better

Good value stopover, no complaints, friendly staff and a pint!

Good welcome, basic and a bit old-style room above a pub but all facilities, easy parking and a good meal, Excellent value for money.

Staff friendly but service (all done from the bar) a bit slow and cryptic

Absolutely appalling

I was at a funeral and couldn’t get back to the hotel until later. I telephoned and left a message asking someone to call me back, on both the landline and emergency number. No-one did. Consequently I could not access the room I am putting in a formal complaint

Appalling lack of care, consideration I am putting in a complaint.This hotel should be stripped of its status

Excellent basic, budget accommodation. Recommended.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was clean, with a large TV and spacious bathroom. Yes, the room was basic, but more than adequate for this extremely cheap price. Highly recommended for travellers on a budget.

No complaints at all. Everything was positive.

Great value for money...Great location. Easy process for checking in and out. Food basically good. Could fault the hotel...👍

Good, Fair-Priced Accomodation

Comfortable bed, spacious room, great location. Food at the pub was also exceptional.

Needed the room fixing in some areas aesthetically. The shower also needs fixing for water pressure. Sink tap tops were loose.

Fantastic place if your looking to stay in Cleethorpes

Had an excellent stay at the Wellow, location was brilliant, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them (especially the young lady at breakfart, sorry forgot your name). Very comfy beds and the food served was great (portion size and price). In all I recommend statying at the Wellow if your visiting Cleethorpes.

Lovely stay

The breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful. The location was brilliant.

I didn’t like the posts in the car park. Too easy to reverse into them.

The food was great and the people were friendly,the rooms are very secure an i appreciate we get a key to the front door aswell

My room was only cleaned once during a 5 day stay and when it was the sheets/bed wasnt changed The shower curtain was stuck to the wall very poorly with sealant instead of being properly installed an fell on my toddler in the shower and hit his head.

. Incredibly disappointed, I believe I should be reimbursed..firstly no heating on in the hotel...constantly leaking taps bathroom freezing, so the quickest showers I've ever had. Staff informed me oh sorry heating has gone off, however I discovered that there had been no heating for ovef a month!!! I believe I was sold this room under false pretences. I believe I deserve my money returned. I picked up a cold and diorea after night one and couldn't leave my room for two days. Incredibly unhappy, I shall not use this service again until I'm at the very minimum reimbursed my fees, spoilt my whole weekend. Yours still in bed recovering at home Mr Den J McGuigan.

Paper flaking on ceiling, taps unable to turn off. Firedoor banging all night (incredibly loudly) people in room opposite first night screaming at each other after midnight for at least a couple of hours (no sign of any security or staff to deal with mater) thin bedding, not even offered a breakfast after freezing night.. Was told contractors were working to fix heating. I never whiteness anyone working anywhere in the building, and there was never a contractors van nor any plumbing or any van at any time during my stay. Incredibly disappointed. I've used booking. Com for years and I've never witnessed or had to suffer anything like this.. I felt Robbed, I do hope I will see action taken immediately.

Very basic, in need of a refresh

There was a portable heater in room. Staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming.

Room was freezing. No heating other than portable electric heater(thank god) bath sealer black/mouldy needed replacing, room looked in need of a refresh.

lovely staff ,well placed,it probably needs an upgrade , but still a great place

needs upgrading , looked through the window in the morning it was saturated with water on the inside, but apart from this a great stay, will return in the future

the hotel need to sort their payment system out

rooms are a good size. nice big bath and location is a nice 10 min walk to the Center.

this is our 2nd stay and both times we have had to argue and show proof we have paid. put a dampener on the stay from the start.
