Location and clean hotel
The premium room was small the bed was very uncomfortable no tea making facilities on room

Liked the location which was 6 minute walk to princess street and main shopping lane. Family room we had was so good, bunk beds for kids and double that raised up at back!!!! Brilllant feature of room. Room was clean and comfortable and 24 hr tea/coffee facilities at reception. Also had a nice snack area with self checkout. Breakfast was good too, plenty of selection. Enjoyable stay and would stay again!!
Fridge wasn't working in room and USBs at side of bed not working but these minor and we only let staff know on checkout.

Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by an incident during the night. At around 3:45 a.m., an alarm suddenly went off in our room. We could not figure out how to turn it off, so we had to call the hotel from our mobile phone. A member of staff eventually came to our room and had to remove an electronic panel from the wall to disable the alarm.
Afterwards, we were unfortunately unable to get back to sleep, which significantly shortened our night's rest. This was particularly disappointing as it was my birthday and our first night of our holiday in Scotland.
I spoke to reception about the incident and asked whether some form of compensation could be considered. I was told to contact the hotel by email, which I did after our stay. Unfortunately, I have received no response to my email.
I understand that technical problems can happen, but I was disappointed both by the disruption itself and by the lack of follow-up afterwards.
