I’ve stayed before and returned on the basis of previous good experiences
Because of that I was very disappointed to be in a basement room with little daylight
Had I have been forewarned and the cost been reduced it would have been acceptable

The location was fantastic, walking distance from the old town and plenty of shops and restaurants around. The breakfast was also great. The staff were very friendly.
The mattress was too firm for my liking, didn't find it comfortable at all. Also the WiFi signal in our room was very temperamental and the TV didn't work.

Clean and nice room
NO VIEW from window, on small inner court...
Welcome was not so friendly. Absolutely no Scottish feel to this place...
Hotel has no own breakfast, you have to go to another restaurant across the street
