We got very lucky with our timing as there were no other guests booked while we were there. It was very quiet and reasonably close to pubs and restaurants. The lounge area was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend to others.
As we were the only guests, it would have been preferable to be quartered on the 2nd floor instead of the 3rd, saving the additional stairs while hauling our luggage. The WiFi on the 3rd floor was a little spotty and required moving around the room to maintain a connection. The "contactless" nature of this booking is not my favourite. It would have been nice to have someone to ask about recommendations.

Nice with little living room with coffee and tea. Also uncomplicated Check-In.
The bed hurt as I felt the iron springs and it's small and old, plus also the breakfast was not as advertised. Only toast with jam and cornflakes.

Breakfast was great. They very kindly supplied me with a gluten free loaf.
The shower was quite weak.

Good value for money. Simple room but comfortable
Coffee out of date for over a year, eggs out of date for a month. No staff every day
