The remote has Netflix/Youtube buttons but they don’t work. The currency change machine also did not work. Laundry only works by app and not coins.

A great place with awesome staff. Breakfast was little basic but good enough for the price. Didn’t eat any other meal but I saw a guy get a hamburger at lunchtime and it looked really nice. It’s a great funky little hotel for a very reasonable price. I can’t commend the staff highly enough. The perfect level of attentiveness and competency.
We had a twin room and it was a bit tight with two suitcases. It’s a cheap hotel in a great location in Japan so not unexpected that it would be a little ‘cosy’.

Rooms are bigger than average hotel rooms in Japan. Not too far from two subway stations.
This hotel feels more like a trendy backpackers hostel rather than a hotel.
The check in staff were ok - they seem to toggle between reception, barista, bar staff and server but don't appear to excel in any of these jobs.
Unlike the photos, the rooms have no windows. Some rooms do have windows but they are frosted and reinforced with steel mesh and don't open. You get filtered light at best. Don't book this hotel if you are claustrophobic.
Also. Unlike the photos, there is no coffee machine in the rooms, just sachets of low grade instant coffee and sachets of tea - not even tea bags. The kettle is in the bathroom so you're basically making hot drinks next to the toilet.
There are a few hooks on the wall to hang clothes although most of the hooks are above the tv or are used to hang furniture so you actually don't get much hanging space. Hallway is prison theme (I'm not joking).
Very over-rated. You can easily find better value hotels in this area. I wouldn't return to this hotel.
