This place is right opposite the park (we saw elephants from the balcony) and only 5 minutes drive from the main entrance which is perfect for safari. Nalaka and his family are very welcoming and kind. He took us on a wonderful 3 hour safari- we saw lots of animals and beautiful birds and he let our children borrow his binoculars which they loved. His wife cooks delicious food (which is very reasonably priced). The room is also great value and practical for a one night stay. The wifi is excellent.

The room and bathrooms were clean and neat. The owners prepared breakfast and dinner for us. They were amazing. A lot of different dishes and they also took the needs of my young child into account. AC works Very well. The swimming pool is really fun. We also went on Safari in Udawalawe national park with the owner. We saw a lot of animals and he was a secure driver. Excellent experience!

Nalaka and his family were the best hosts - kind, friendly, helpful, attentive, and made us feel most welcome and looked after. The pool was a highlight, and they own their own jeep, so we were able to easily head out on Safari with them, which is only 5 minutes down the road. The spreads of local food they provide are incredible - lots to try and cooked to perfection. Rooms are basic, but do the job. However the location, terrace and pool area make it a special place to visit. Fantastic stay and completely stress free, highly recommend.
Drains a little smelly in bathroom, but to be expected when out in the sticks! Water pressure also lacking.
