Azen Cool House

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The place is beautiful, comfortable, and the location is absolutely perfect. We loved the area and found it very convenient for exploring everything around.

A lovely place, garden is fantastic and a lovely pool. It’s a little further out of town but buses were reliable, so worked even though we didn’t have a car.

Some things are a little run down and old, and just need some attending to, mainly in the room we stayed in. Things like a leaking shower etc. Nothing major.

The pool was not heated up

A beautiful garden, swimming pool, and common areas await. Sports enthusiasts will find something for themselves (paddle tennis, volleyball, table tennis, and many others). Well-functioning air conditioning. A simple breakfast, made with high-quality ingredients, is available upon request. Eggs, bacon, and Nutella are available upon request. Shared refrigerator.

We were staying in the main building. The room is very small, so it's best to check it out before bringing in your luggage (for two nights, this isn't a major problem, but after staying in other hotels, I appreciated the non-claustrophobic interiors). The mattress was comfortable, but the frame shook violently, causing any movement from side to side to wake the other person. A comfortable sleep is probably only possible if you're sleeping alone. Some bathroom elements need replacing (e.g., the mirror, the peeling paint on the lampshade), and the shower drain also needs cleaning. Please note the check-in policy if your flight is delayed! I didn't receive this information via email until a few days before arrival (I didn't notice it on booking). I will quote a fragment of the email: "Check in is between 4pm and 9pm. We can't guarantee that, outside check in hours, there will be someone to check you in earlier, so give us a call 1 hour before your arrival if you are scheduled to arrive before 4pm. For late check in, a tax of 15€ will be charged upon arrival (from 22h to 00h), after that 15€ per hour. If the arrival time was already arranged previously, please ignore this part of the message."
