We booked this resort one day in advance and we were surprised of how good this resort actually is! We booked a room with lake view- highly recommended! The resort is very cozy and the staff was absolutely stunning! During the night you can hear the nature and nothing else- that’s what we wanted after stressful days in Kigali. The resort has its own beach where you can see fishermen on the lake.
The only negative point is the lack of warm water in the morning. I assume that’s because all the guests are using the shower at the same time. But it’s in the tropics so you won’t freeze to death 😜

Beautiful secluded location on Lake Kivu. Lodge and rooms made of natural materials, mostly wood and stone. Friendly and helpful staff and great food.

The view is beautiful from the main terrace. The staff are friendly. The main guest entry room is nice and cozy. The meals prepared were tasty.
The room was extremely basic and underwhelming. Bathroom is dated and was not cleaned daily while we were there, nor was the room serviced. I wasnt convinced my blanket was cleaned before I used it. The amenities do not merit the price. The location is secluded, which can be nice if you want peace and quiet but is a bit far from the main resort area.
Breakfast was nice but mostly an appetizer for a full sized meal.
