Located in a residential area close to airport (under the flight path, but not a big issue). Property is secure with locked gate and 24/7 guard. I had pre-arranged day tours and the company had no problem picking me up from the accommodation. I left early each morning, so not having breakfast included was no issue. A big thank you to Frank on reception who was friendly and helpful. With 1 hours notice I had my dinner brought to my room. Food was of good quality and value for money. If you book well in advance, please contact the property to confirm your booking closer to the date. Due to my room being given to someone else, they upgraded me into a nicer room with a lovely balcony and huge bathroom. Free good quality wi-fi in the room. Large fan unit for air circulation and mosquito netting. Good value for money.
Low water pressure in the shower (but water was hot). Next door neighbours were noisy, but not the fault of the property.

Umugano Villa is one of these gems, which are hard to find. But now you found one!
Lovely garden, ever-smiling staff, tidy spacious rooms and reliable WiFi.
And very close to Kigali Int airport.

Very friendly staff, environment, beautiful house and garden, great breakfast. 5 kms from airport. Convenient for late arrivals.
I think at least one bottle of water should be free like in most hotels since water is not drinkable. Unfortunately, the planes land very near at any hour of the night.
