Location good. Good design and large room. Quiet despite local outdoor concert.
Overhead shower didn’t work (hand held option was fine).
No milk provided for coffee/tea (the only coffee maker was in the communal lounge area).
Despite the implication of the messages we received, there was no reception and we never spoke to or saw anyone that may have been a member of staff (hence low rating above). That said, the entry system worked well and efficiently.
The list here is because this is our only way of letting the hotel know of any maintenance or other issues!

The location was perfect, very clean and with touch for everything including special towel to clean your makeup. Spacious and quiet rooms as well.

Close to the metro station for access on the M4 to the airport. Close to a nice bakery and supermarket on the same street within a block of the hotel. Very modern hotel and rooms. Comfortable rooms. Within three blocks of the main pedestrian street.
A little hard to find the hotel at night.

Hotel 36 was close to everything to do in sofia, within a 10 min walk. Also very close to public transportation.
Despite being in a main road we found it quiet at night to sleep, though it may be because the air conditioning was on and drowned out street noise.
The beds were quite comfortable and the mini-fridge in the room was great. Also we enjoyed the coffee machine in the lobby.
Price per night was also very reasonable.
Cleanliness was lacking. It was very clear that the room was not cleaned well before we arrived- the bathroom floor had dirt and the soap in the shower was practically empty upon arrival. We had to specifically ask the cleaning lady to vacuum, otherwise she would not have.
Staff was also lacking- I saw the staff once upon arrival and after that not at all- no one is in the building after 16:00.
The hotel encourages you to use this app-bot thing online to answer questions, it was not very useful for out of the box questions, like when you realize you have no soap to shower at 21:00, though we did use it to order a taxi to go to the airport. As such, I would not call it a hotel, but rather guests rooms.
Also, be warned, the air conditioning did not go below 25 degrees C in the room and took a long time to kick in. If you are accustomed to Western standards of AC this is not it. I am not sure if this is Bulgarian standards or the on the hotel.
