Nestled in Monteverde, this attractive house for $80 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This house, recently built and nestled within the cloud forest hold lovely views of the surrounding landscape. It is a very quiet and private area with a few small hiking trails located on the property. Enjoy high-speed internet along with other amenities such as hot water and a washer and dryer. The roads around Monteverde are mostly dirt and gravel. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There are a variety of attractions close by, we can even help you set up some great tours such horse back riding, hiking, tours of farms and more. You are welcome to spending an afternoon with your guides, making either lunch or having coffee with their families. Let's not forget that we also have the Santa Elena and the Monteverde Cloud Forest close by. Enjoy both tranquility and adventure in our house in the cloud forest

We stayed 3 nights. We liked: The property manager Gretl who was very responsive, friendly and helpful. We worried: The gas stove in the kitchen has a sticky knob or two and the gas leaks even when the knob is in the off position. We were very careful triple checking every time we used the stove. It was accurately advertised that the cabin is remote and needs 4WD. We agree. You need good navigation system - we used google maps as Waze did not work well for us and it helped. You are a 20 minute ride on unpaved roads from Santa Elena which is the nearest town. We decided to come to the cabin before dark daily. We were disappointed: The shower regulator is not working - cold water even in the maximum position although hot water was available in the kitchen and the sink. Made showering miserable. The shower cubicle is unique with two sliding doors meeting to form a corner. One of the doors was off the sliding rail and so getting in and out by using only one door was awkward. There was no washer/dryer as advertised in the listing. The owner argues that since a laundry service is provided for a fee, that is accurate which I believe is disingenuous. We were not comfortable getting our underwear washed by someone which I admit is personal preference. When we planned the trip, we made sure that at the half-way mark we will be able to wash our clothes for the second half of the trip and this threw our plans into disarray. She needs to advertise honestly

Amazing Property in Cloud Forest

We originally had the house next door but there was a small confusion about availability so we were move next door. It seems like where we got moved into was an even nicer and bigger unit, so it worked out. Yessenia communicated flawlessly and gave us great recommendations for our short stay. We utilized the kitchen which helped us on our very fast trip. I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night. The place was very well kept and well built. The location is a bit away from the town but definitely worth it if your have a 4 wheel drive and looking for a remote, beautiful side of the cloud forest to immerse yourself in. I would definitely return!
