Proximity to where I was visiting. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Restaurant/bar staff were friendly.
Don't get caught out by the parking app signs in the car park. If you pay in the hotel it's cheaper. The lady who checked us in seemed to find it funny that we'd already paid and paid more at that, "Oh well you'll know for next time" was the response. No lift to the upper floors and a room that was so far from reception it might as well have been in a different postcode, not ideal when you're travelling with heavy/lots of bags. Ordered breakfast to the room, the service charge on the door hanger was one price, we got charged more and it was non negotiable. The breakfast was cold and everything was very salty.

Great location for what we needed -was clean, bright and airy with lovely public areas and some interesting artwork. Good outdoor space and friendly staff. Breakfast was really good with a calm , quiet atmosphere and plenty of choices which were replenished well. Staff at breakfast were ‘on it’ and worked hard and discretely to make sure serving areas were restocked, clean and cleared away quickly.
Strongly object to the £7.50 parking charge - can’t see the need for this at all given you have to park when visiting. Just profiteering.

Breakfast was AMAZING 👏 And the staff were brilliant they changed our room for a better one 😀
We were told there was a pool but it was very small and had lanes for lane swimming. Also the jacuzzi was terrible and worked in a low mode when it felt like it and was very small.Never again would I go there.
