The reception staff during check-in were very welcoming and helpful, giving us a great recommendation for lunch and making us feel at home. The breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast staff were incredibly kind. One morning, a member of staff even offered me coffee and a croissant before breakfast service had officially started, which was a thoughtful gesture that I really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the toilet in our room did not work properly from the moment we checked in. We were told the hotel had experienced this issue before and believed it had been fixed, but when we reported it, we were initially told there was no comparable room available and only after my husband explained that we could not stay in a room without a working bathroom were we moved. Although we appreciated the new room, we had already settled in for the evening and had to pack everything, move two floors, and make up the children's beds ourselves, so we felt the situation could have been handled much more professionally.
