The hotel was in a great location on the shore and the room was large with a big 6ft bed.
But the hotel in general was very old fashioned and we didn't fit in. We were the youngest residents by far (in our fifties!) and it seemed to be populated by retirees on guided bus tours. The furnishings were old fashioned and needed freshening up. The evening restaurant menu was rubbish (no pasta, and very strange/unappetising food combinations) to the point that we chose not to eat there and visited the restaurants just along the promenade. The fitness area was not in use (jacuzzi out of order, steam room not on and you had to give an hours notice to reception to get the sauna up and running so it was never hot)

The staff, especially Karen, were professional, friendly and very helpful in arranging taxis, massages and reservations. The grounds were beautiful. The restaurant was good and the rooms nice.
