Nice place to stay just north of Hallstatt. Very family oriented with lots of families and groups here during our stay. They did not offer must food for dinner (pizza) but the breakfast was very nice. We stayed during the FIFA competition and joined lots of people in the bar to watch a game - it was a great atmosphere.

This was a surprise find- we really liked it. Yes it is basic and has lots of school groups staying but the rooms are comfortable, breakfast is great and the staff are super nice. Right opposite the Altaussee salt works which had a v good tour. Short climb to join Salzkammerweg trail which we did to St Agatha.
It’s a bit of a hike out of town (we had no car) but otherwise fine. And a bus is available if ordered I think.

The hotel was super clean and comfortable and had great facilities for the kids to enjoy. Staff were also great and restaurant had a good variety of food for both dinner and breakfast.

Good view from the bar and proximity to a kids play corner. Great access to the surrounding Loser mountain area
Room was advertised as mountain view, but faced an inner courtyard. Also a creepy unremovable folk photo above the bed.
