Great location, very convenient for getting around Hiroshima and surprisingly quiet considering how central it is. The room was reasonably sized by Japanese standards, and having so many places to eat in and around the station is a big plus — you can get a genuinely good meal wearing just flipflops.
We arrived about two hours before the official check-in time and were told that no rooms were available. In a hotel of this size, it seems rather unlikely that not a single room was ready, so this felt more like strict adherence to check-in policy than an actual lack of availability. Everything is efficient and by the book, but going the extra mile for a guest doesn’t seem to be part of the philosophy here.

perfect location...right outside the station, best beds of our 2 week trip round Japan, close to shops, transport, eateries. Great staff and amenities.

Great location at the station, easy to get everywhere and many restaurants in de the neughborhood.
The room was small, uncomfortable and not clean. When we arrived the bathroom smelled of urine (like a public toilet which wasn’t cleaned in days). When we complained, the toilet was cleaned with bleach, with no apology. The room was otherwise also not clean - dust everywhere, and the bathroom was clearly not thorougly cleaned in a while. I also did not appreciate finding someone else’s hair in the bathtub when I stepped in. The grandeur of the lobby and the 4-star level was not matched in the rooms we had booked. Pity.
