The room was very clean and larger than expected. Staff was very helpful during check-in and check-out. Breakfast was very good and restaurant was very clean and attendant met and seated me immediately.

This place is very well located, the conditions of the property are very good. The only negative aspect is the size of the room, which is very very small, we can barely move around inside the room. The breakfast is available for an extra charge but we didn't like the kind of food they serve in the morning, so we ended up buying breakfast elsewhere

Customer service was great, property was well managed/clean. Convenient location near restaurants, about a 10 minute walk to the main train station with easy access from the bridge.

At this point, I've probably stayed at a dozen APA locations across Japan. This property is probably the oldest, or at least the oldest that might have the original interior. Staff was great, room was clean, but the bathroom is so old it doesn't have a vent fan, combined with tile and grout shower, there just will be some amount of mildew and mold.
I have stayed at another chain hotel in Matsuyama and it too was quite old, so I still think this is probably one of the better budget hotels.
