A perfect place with a charming atmosphere, a beautiful view of the tank, and absolutely delicious food. A wonderful spot to relax, enjoy the scenery, and have a great meal. Highly recommended!

After staying here for 3 nights in September 2026 I left feeling very happy with the entire experience. It's location was perfect with beautiful views of Habarana Lake and situated very nearby to local national parks (I went to Minneriya). The buffet has the best selection I have seen in Sri Lanka as a solo traveller and the music/atmosphere was very nice every night. The service was very attentive as I found I would receive something before I needed to ask like a drink top up. Special thanks to the waiters Manan and Chamal for serving me throughout my stay. Apparently the hotel next to this (Habarana Lodge) is the 5 star hotel but this felt 5 star too!
On the website how you book activities through the hotel was not so clear but once I arrived the front desk was very helpful.

Good size room and bathroom with outdoor shower. View of gardens and lake.
Delicious buffet breakfast. Close to town with good restaurants.
Life music on both nights.
We had hornets in the room on both nights due to gap under the door. We put a beach towel in front of it to block it, but still some came in somewhere.
